What services does Emotist offer?

Our app connects you with licensed mental health practitioners for individual, couples, and group counseling. 

Booking a session is simple. Browse through our list of certified MHPs, select one that fits your preferences, and schedule an appointment directly through the app. All communication and scheduling are handled securely within the app.

 

Most sessions are conducted online via secure video calls, but some MHPs may offer in-person sessions depending on your location. This information is listed in each MHP’s profile.

 MHPs on Emotist can support a wide range of concerns—anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and more. You can filter by area of specialization when selecting a therapist.

 

Yes. All MHPs on Emotist are independently licensed and verified by our team before being listed on the platform.

Yes. Emotist follows strict privacy protocols. Your data is encrypted and never shared without your consent. Therapy sessions are confidential and between you and your therapist.

Use the app to log moods, review session summaries, and receive personalized feedback from your therapist.

Fees are set by individual practitioners and displayed upfront on their profiles.

 

Cancellation and refund policies are determined by each practitioner. Please review their individual terms before booking. 

 

 

Absolutely. You’re free to change your therapist anytime if you feel someone else might be a better fit.

Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, but duration may vary by therapist. Details are available in each therapist’s profile.

This depends on the practitioner. Some offer messaging support between sessions, while others may not. You can check their availability and preferences in their profile.

No. Emotist is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or need immediate help, please contact a local emergency helpline or mental health crisis center.

You can set your own availability, manage bookings, reschedule sessions, and mark time off directly through your dashboard in the app.

Yes! Emotist is flexible—you can choose to use it part-time, full-time, or as a supplementary platform to your offline practice.

Yes. If you offer offline sessions, you can mention your clinic location in your profile. Clients can filter by in-person or online sessions when searching.

Yes, you have full control over your session fees. You can also offer different pricing for individuals, couples, or groups.

Clients pay through the app. Emotist deducts a platform commission, and the remaining amount is transferred to your linked account within the settlement cycle.

Yes. Emotist uses secure encryption to protect your data. Session notes are accessible only to you and are never shared without your consent.

No. Emotist automatically generates session invoices and receipts, which are shared with both you and your clients for easy record-keeping.

Yes. We provide onboarding calls and 24/7 support to help you set up, navigate the platform, and answer any questions.

 

Our cancellation policy is designed to protect both clients and therapists. You can set your own cancellation window, and no-shows are handled according to your chosen policy.

 

Yes. Both therapists and clients can request to reschedule within the platform, depending on availability and your cancellation settings.
